Abstract
This study examines the role of financial technology (FinTech) in empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to support Oman Vision 2040. SMEs constitute 95% of registered enterprises in Oman and are critical employment generators within non-oil sectors, making their sustainable growth essential to economic diversification. Despite their significance, limited empirical research exists on FinTech adoption among Omani SMEs. This research addresses this gap by investigating FinTech services that enhance SME growth, development, and financial accessibility. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to SMEs in Muscat City, while secondary data were obtained from academic publications, government portals, and corporate reports. ANOVA and Chi-square tests examined associations between FinTech adoption and SME performance dimensions, alongside implementation challenges. Findings underscore the necessity for collaborative efforts among policymakers, financial institutions, and SMEs to establish an inclusive FinTech ecosystem in Oman, facilitating Vision 2040's economic objectives.
